2008 Accomplishments

The Larry D. Large Foundation has regular ongoing programs to assist the needy here in Puerto Peñasco which consists of:

  1. Approximately 40 students on yearly scholarships
  2. Seven families receive Monthly Assistance
  3. Deliver approximately 80 “Baby Bags” every month to all newborns at the Community’s General Hospital (non-Social Security). These bags include clothing, diapers, blanket, shampoo, lotion, petroleum jelly, powder, oil, bibs, brush & comb set, nail clippers, washcloths and a new Bible.
  4. Distribute clean, used clothing to the poor every week.
  5. Two major Food Distributions (Approx. 40,000 pounds of food) to the newer Colonias every Christmas & Easter
  6. A major Clothing distribution (Approx. 40,000 pounds of Clothing & blankets) in January to the same Colonias.
