Computer
Centers
The
Foundation assisted with the construction and equipping of
computer centers in the Lazarao Cordenas/18 de Marzo and the
Jaime Nuno/Hereo De Nacozari Elementary schools. Each
computer center has 30 computers with DSL Internet
connections plus educational software and printers.
These young women represent
the 15 students who are furthering their education through
the support of the Foundation. One of who achieved the
National Deans List at the University of Arizona and
graduated in May, 2006
The Foundation received a
donation of 1,000 of Richard Scarry’s children’s books to be
distributed in June 2006 throughout the community to all
first and second grade bilingual classes. The
donation included 500 math and 500 wordbooks in both Spanish
and English.
