Community Support

The Larry D. Large Foundation has been responsible for the creation of many community resources for the handicapped and the Youth of Puerto Penasco. Click on the links below for more information on these important Community Projects.

The Larry D. Large Foundation has regular ongoing programs to assist the needy here in Puerto Peñasco which consists of:

1. Approximately 40 students on yearly scholarships
2. Seven families receive Monthly Assistance
3. Deliver approximately 80 “Baby Bags” every month to all newborns at the Community’s General Hospital (non-Social Security). These bags include clothing, diapers, blanket, shampoo, lotion, petroleum jelly, powder, oil, bibs, brush & comb set, nail clippers, washcloths and a new Bible.
4. Distribute clean, used clothing to the poor every week.
5. Two major Food Distributions (Approx. 40,000 pounds of food) to the newer Colonias every Christmas & Easter
6. A major Clothing distribution (Approx. 40,000 pounds of Clothing & blankets) in January to the same Colonias.

In addition to our regular monthly support of the less fortunate here in Peñasco, the Foundation has been able to help in the following situations:
