Facts about the foundation

The Larry D. Large Foundation is a 501(c)(3) approved non-profit organization and your donation is 100 percent US tax deductible.  Our primary objective is to help families by providing housing, education, child, family and community support plus health care assistance to those in the community most in need.

Organized in 2001, the Foundation has aided over 45 families by constructing new homes or adding bathrooms where none existed before and other assistance to dozens more primarily in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), but also further south in Mexico and into Central America.

The Larry D. Large Foundation was started as a tool to give back to the community of Puerto Peñasco, a community that has helped the Large family in so many ways over the years.  We encourage active participation by American residents and visitors to the community.  We enjoy a close working relations with the City of Puerto Peñasco, which supports our projects.

Here you will find information on current Foundation activities including building projects, family assistance and educational programs.  You can actually see your donations working to help these families.  Since it's founding in 2001 the Foundation has provided in excess of $1.75 million US dollars in support to the community of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico (Rocky Point).  The 2007 Cinco de Mayo event raised more than $104,000 to help fund our programs.  In 2006, 96% of funds received went directly to our programs.
